VST & Sons
VST & Sons, the founding company of the VST Group, traces its origins back to 1911. Initially focused on distributing kerosene in the Bangalore Cantonment area, the company gradually expanded its operations to include a network of petrol pumps in and around Bangalore. Over time, VST & Sons ventured into various other industries. In the 1940s, they established Lakshmi Mills to produce groundnut oil and groundnut cake. However, due to changes in excise rates, this particular business was eventually scaled back. In its place, Tyresoles, a tire retreading enterprise, was established at the same location. Meanwhile, other business endeavors flourished and diversified, giving rise to the seven sectors that presently constitute the VST Group.
